Security Alert 10/10
Police are appealing for information after several thousand pounds worth of Burberry goods were stolen from a lorry on the A1.
This incident took place at round 1.45am on February 16 on the A1 (south) at Great Ponton.
Thieves slashed the curtain-side of a lorry and stole seven to eight pallets of Burberry shoes and hand bags.
The total value is not yet known.
The driver, who was woken by the noise, was too scared to leave his cab, but claims to have seen three men in ski masks with torches.
The offenders would have needed another vehicle to transport the goods and police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area to get in touch as soon as possible.
Officers also want anyone who is offered any Burberry goods to call them.
This offence is part of an ongoing sporadic series of thefts from lorries on the A1.
